case study / coming soon
sovereignpay
sovereignpay is a crypto payment processor in development for legal, high-risk businesses, designed to accept payments without a bank’s underwriting. Built from the payment infrastructure developed for cruush, it brings checkout, on-chain verification, fulfillment and automatic forwarding into a system the studio controls. The public product is coming soon.
The problem
A legal business needs a way to take payment that fits the business it actually runs. sovereignpay starts with that requirement: a crypto payment path for merchants classified as high risk, built around verifying the payment itself rather than requiring a bank to underwrite the merchant. The aim is to give those businesses more control over how they get paid.
Built around wallets people already have
sovereignpay is being built to work alongside crypto wallets in apps people already have, such as Cash App, Venmo and PayPal. Customers would use an available crypto transfer in their existing app, with checkout identifying the supported asset, network, receiving address and exact amount for that order.
The intended experience connects a familiar place to send money with a clear purchase flow. Which payment paths are available depends on the app’s supported assets and networks. The processor follows the payment on-chain and connects verified arrival to the purchase.
From checkout to fulfillment
The underlying cruush implementation assigns each order its own receiving address and a fixed quote. Prices and purchase terms come from the server. Chain observers check the recipient, amount, network and confirmation depth before a purchase can be granted.
Payment records and fulfillment stay connected, with transaction locks and recorded grants guarding against duplicate fulfillment. A separate forwarding service handles transfers from paid receiving addresses to the configured destination. It records a signed transaction before submission and resumes recorded work after an interruption, preserving continuity between the money received and the money forwarded.
Infrastructure built from a real product
sovereignpay grows from work the studio needed for its own product. cruush brought the interface and the accounting into the same engineering problem: tell someone what to send, establish what arrived, deliver the purchase and retain a clear record of each stage. That foundation gives sovereignpay a concrete starting point for a broader merchant product.
What this demonstrates about the studio
technosovereign builds the customer experience and the infrastructure underneath it together. sovereignpay carries that practice into payments, turning a requirement inside one product into technology with a life beyond it. The next step is the forthcoming public processor for legal, high-risk businesses.
use it. commission it. back it.
